Non-MHS & Homeschool Students
PSAT/NMSQT Information
​Exam Eligibility:
-
Students in 11th grade who are not enrolled at a LISD campus must complete and submit the 2025-2026 PSAT/NMSQT Testing Request form.
-
The LISD Assessment Department will review the requests, determine eligibility, and request Proof of Residency documentation from individuals meeting the initial review’s eligibility requirements.
-
Due to limited resources, LISD is unable to assess students who are not enrolled in LISD and live outside of LISD boundaries.
-
The 2025-2026 registration window is August 18th – September 5th, 2025, until 4 p.m.
-
LISD is unable to register non-LISD students after the registration deadline.
-
Junior (11th grade) homeschooled students must register & pay to take the PSAT/NMSQT exam at MHS after completing the LISD approval form and the district approval is acquired
-
Sophomore (10th grade) are not permitted to take the PSAT/NMSQT at MHS this year.
-
Freshmen (9th grade) are not permitted to take the PSAT/NMSQT at MHS this year.

Exam Date: Oct. 22nd Exam Start Time: 8:20 am sharp

Exam Day Information:

Students need to arrive no later than 7:50 am

Students must check in with the front office and have a valid picture ID
-
Students will be escorted to the exam room

Students will need to have a College Board account and have practiced logging into the Bluebook app at home (see College Board's website for more information about Bluebook). Students will test on a school device.

Desmos graphing calculator is built into the online testing system

Students are allowed to use approved calculators - see list here
-

Cell phones are to be turned off and put in a backpack or purse during the testing session.​

Students who receive accommodation must be approved through College Board

AP Exam Information
The College Board allows campuses to establish internal deadlines, exam pricing and late testing policies. Students/families should be familiar with these policies before registering for AP exams. Students and families have agreed to the policies when registering and paying for the exams.

After students complete the LISD form and are approved by LISD's Assessment Department, students will be provided with AP Join Codes for College Board's exam only section(s)

Then students must register and pay for exams through MHS' registration site, Total Registration, located on the MHS Website under Campus News, before 3:35 pm October 31, 2025

Late testing will be offered if:
-
There is a conflict with another AP exam
-
There is a conflict with a school sponsored athletic/academic event
-
There is a conflict due to an approved accommodation (such as two-day testing)
-
There is a family tragedy (funeral, etc.)
-
Serious injury/illness on the day of testing, accompanied by a doctor’s note provided within 24 hours of the original exam time

Late testing will not be offered if:

There is a conflict due to a family event (not related to a death)
-
There is a conflict due to a non-school sponsored athletic/academic event
-
College Visit/Vacation
-
Illness on the day of testing without a doctor’s note within 24 hours of the original exam time

Tardiness resulting in arriving to the test after the required/communicated time of arrival
